Scavenger Hunt in Itaewon

About a month ago, the Rocky Mountain Tavern (the poker and trivia bar) hosted a scavenger hunt in Itaewon, which is near an Army base, so there's lots of foreigners. It was a team-based event, and the teams were encouraged to dress up in costume. Let me just say that all the creative genius (i.e. Shannon and Geoff) ended up on one team. They were the Super Hero Action Hunters (or something like that), and their costums rocked! My team had a name inappropriate to share with the older members of my family, so I will just say we were the Cowboy Bandits. *winces* Yes, I know how incredibly lame that is, but I've never been good with costums. Anyway, among the "item" on the scavenger list were to do a "prairie fire" shot (tequilla and tabasco). Another was to change underwear on the street. Another was to bench press. Another was to get a tattoo from a real, actual animator from the cartoon "Family Guy". Another was to change clothes on the street with a Korean. Overall, it was a really fun day!

The ROCKSTAR Party at Fraser Suites

As I have mentioned earlier and in emails to many of you, my friends and I threw a rockstar-themed party at this fancy-pants hotel in downtown Seoul. This was one fat-daddy suite! It was bigger than both my apartments in Milwaukee. Really modern and clean too! I attempted to look like Ana Matronic from the Scissor Sisters, Shannon did Madonna circa the Blond Ambition Tour, Geoff tried to do some kind of Kid Rock/Axl Rose combination, Gilles did general punk, and Sara did an 80s groupie thing. Here are a few random shots from that evening.....

Kindy Kids

Here are a few of my favorite kindy kids. Top picture is Gordon. He's one of my hellions, but is really very nice and friendly. He always stops by my office to say "hello Nicole Teacher!" even though I yell at him a lot. Second pic is Erika. She reminds me of my sister, Amber because she is friendly, talks a lot, and is a TOTAL HAM for the camera! Third pic is Ain. She's one of my favorites because she is so smart and good. Fourth is Sunny and Amy. Sunny is very animated and Amy is so teeny and sweet. The last picture is Sam and Jessy. Sam is way too cute for his own good. Jessy is sweet, but very quiet. Overall, I have to say I have a really fun group of kids--for whatever reason, they all seem to like me... but that makes me think I must be doing something right!
